Georgian Hob Grate Georgian Hob Grate

1820s Hob Grate

A large hob grate c 1820 with curved fluted side panels, very deep front bars and roundel decoration on the cast iron back panel.

This fireplace could be built into a chimney breast with or without a mantelpiece but would probably suit a bullseye cast iron, stone or timber chimneypeice. The back panel has been sturdily repaired but otherwise it is in Excellent condition.
