An interesting Edwardian Pine Mantel with classic Adams style decoration in gesso.

It would originally have been painted. The circular mirror is bevelled and sits in the central panel flanked by the two fielded ornate panels. The wide sweeping shelf is supported by two brackets

There is fine moulding running around the inside opening and the mantel is capped off with dentil moulding running under the shelf.
