A Late Victorian slate mantel ( c.1890 ) of generous proportions. It features a moulded shelf and interesting open brackets.

There are inverted obelisks extending down the legs to the feet which are are topped off with well executed mouldings.

This is currently on display in our showroom with a classic combination of a copper canopy on legs and slabbed tile panels.
