Marble mantles were common throughout the Victorian era, with Carrara marble perhaps the most popular choice. Limestone provides a more contemporary interpretation of the traditional styles shown here.
Mantels with product codes beginning gesm can be made to order in different sizes. Samples of the stone material can be posted out before an order is taken.

Moulded jambs and frieze, delicate roundels and a reeded edge to the shelf are typical of the early 19th century drawing room fireplace surrounds but were continued throughout the 19th and into the 20th century.

A late Georgian mantel with roundels or bullseyes over mouldings at the top of the legs giving it a neo-classical feel. The jambs and frieze have cushion moulding with reeding outside. The shelf is moulded and the mantel sits on block feet.
