A plain mid Victorian period mantel similar in style to the Flat Victorian mantel. It has simple square capitals at top of straight legs with small block feet. There is moulding above the foot blocks and below the capitals.

Although this is a photograph of the Brompton 56 Mantel the fascia shown will still fit.

A simple mantel with plain legs, header and shelf with the addition of a chamfer around the opening and the outer edge of the legs.

Plain legs, frieze and shelf with the addition of separate slips to adjust the size of the opening make the Simple an adaptable surround and cost effective.
